Ideally, as a Care of the Elderly Consultant, you should have a specialist interest in Orthogeriatric Medicine, experience in delivering community-based geriatric services, and expertise in delivering frailty services within an acute setting.

To excel in this role, ensure you meet the following criteria:

  • Current GMC full registration and license to practice
  • MRCP and entry on GMC specialist register for Care of the Elderly, or within 6 months of CCT date, or within 12 months of expected CESR approval
  • Essential participation in the on-call rota (1:16 weekdays & 1:8 weekends)
  • Minimum 6 months of UK experience
