Job Description

Are you a doctor looking to take your first step into a rewarding career in clinical research?

Are you a research physician looking to advance your career at a leading global clinical research organisation?

Are you a junior doctor wanting to take a break from training this August with a great learning opportunity, competitive salary and weekends off?

We’ve got the perfect job for you.

Working at a leading global clinical research organisation as a clinical research physician presents great learning opportunities in a non-traditional training route. Clinical research opportunities for doctors have become increasingly popular over the last 18 months due to the diverse experience, learning and networking opportunities and favourable hours.

We are looking for 2 doctors for full-time research physician roles based at this leading CRO’s Cardiff site.

These roles are permanent full-time vacancies and would suit doctors with an A&E, Medicine, Clinical Research, Driver Medicals or an audit-based background. We have recently placed permanent doctors at their Manchester, Midlands and North East sites so have a strong sense of what they are looking for.

You will be successful in this job if you are passionate about clinical research, care about offering excellent customer service and have a keen eye for detail. Clinical Research experience is not essential but if you do have any relevant experience, please let us know so that we can highlight it to the hiring manager. We are ideally looking for doctors with 4 years of medical experience. If you are available to start as soon as the August changeover, please let us know your interview availability over the next two weeks. If unfilled by the August changeover, recruitment will remain open until suitable doctors have been appointed.

We have worked with numerous doctors who have been placed within this organisation and have a good idea of what a typical day at work looks like. If you’d like to hear about the benefits of taking time to pursue your passions outside of traditional training and what a day looks like for a Clinical Research Physician from one of our doctors, you can view the Q&A session here.

As part of our permanent recruitment service, we offer a video consultation to prepare for your interview. This includes a full run-through and understanding of the job role and company to ensure it’s the best fit for you, practice questions, discussing your CV and experience and optional recommended courses which you can do ahead of your interview to support with clinical research knowledge.

If you would like to apply for this clinical research role and you are a doctor, please apply now using the interview in the job advert. If you would like to ask me any questions about the company, duties or how other doctors are enjoying the job, please email me at EmmaDooley@accident-emergency.co.uk.
