About the Trust
NHS Dumfries and Galloway serves a population of over 140,000 within a large geographical area of over 2,000 square miles. The Health Board employs around 4500 staff excluding GPs and Dentists.
As the post-holder you will be working primarily at the recently opened state of the art Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI). You will join a growing team working closely with Consultants and Associate Specialists delivering high quality services in Care of Elderly. The Consultant job plan is flexible and open to negotiation on appointment, being up to a 10PA contract. The balance between direct clinical care and supporting professional activities to be discussed and agreed between the Board and the successful applicant. Additional EPAs may be offered on appointment for participation in the General Medical on-call rota.
International candidates are welcome and applications from candidates who require a Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (formerly Work Permit) will be considered.

Skills and Experience
Prospective candidates will require to be on the GMC Specialist Register and will hold a CCT or be within 6 months of obtaining the certificate. Must have experience in Care of Elderly or Geriatrics along with MRCP.
