Job Description

We are looking for a Consultant to join United Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust within their busy Ears, Nose and Throat department.

This is a 3-month position running until 29/10/21 with the shifts covering Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00. You will complete 1 week of 24 hours on calls every fifth week on the rota.  Non residential on call to be paid at 50%.

Ideally the right consultant will be an otolaryngologist and someone who is happy to work with Children however General ENT Consultants will be considered.

A driving license is essential as the trust need someone to cover both sites, Diana Princess of Wales, and Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital was officially opened by the Princess of Wales on 26th July 1983 and has one of the most advanced Emergency care centres in the region. The hospital has a modern en-suite maternity facility as well as 4.4-million-pound oncology, haematology, and rheumatology unit.

The hospital’s emergency department received 132,000 attendees from 2016-2017 as well as delivering more than 4,500 babies and carrying out around 30,000 operations.

Grimsby, also Great Grimsby, is a port town and the administrative centre of North East Lincolnshire, England, on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary, close to the North Sea. It was the home port for the world's largest fishing fleet by the mid-20th century but fishing then fell sharply.
