Are you a Geriatric Consultant looking for a new opportunity?

As a Geriatric Consultant, you will specialise in providing advice and guidance to older adults and their families on issues related to aging, health, and well-being. You will help with a wide range of concerns, such as managing chronic illnesses, navigating healthcare systems, and making decisions about long-term care options.

 

What you’ll be doing:

You will be working as a locum doctor on a 3-month contract based in West Midlands. The contract is to start in June and NHS experience is required.

Where you’ll be doing it:

You will be working at a reputable NHS trust. Working on wards providing on-going acute medical support and work towards a timely and safe discharge for patients. This may be to community home based services or bed-based services, dependent on the patient's needs. Each ward has a daily consultant ward round during the week and the Frail Elderly Assessment Unit (FEAU) has a full ward round at the weekends and on Bank Holidays. 

To thrive in this Geriatric Consultant job, you’ll need:

  • NHS experience at the Consultant level
  • GMC registration
  • Experience in Geriatric Medicine
  • Right to work in the UK
