A&E Agency are seeking a consultant neurologist to support neurological services within a prestigious (as per the CQC) NHS Trust in West Yorkshire.
The organisation runs two main hospitals, community sites, and health centres, providing a range of services. The Trust is on the forefront of Digital Health, utilising a variety of technology tools to enhance patient care. The organisation is dedicated to continuous improvement, and they are looking for someone to help them raise their good CQC rating to outstanding in the upcoming inspection. The Trust has received a significant investment from the Department of Health and Social Care and is using this opportunity to enhance services provided to their local population and for generations to come.
We're looking for committed, forward-thinking and dynamic neurology consultant to help them achieve this mission.
While you are based in one site, you will be required to work flexibility when needed across two hospitals to ensure that there are two consultants on each site. The two sites are less than 10 minutes apart. This is a full time post providing 10 programmed activities (PAs) but the organisation is open to considering flexible working arrangements (part-time, job-share, flexibly hours and work from home when appropriate).
You will be expected to actively engage with other consultants in the development of future service models to meet the changing needs of service uses. The Trust has strong links to the local neurosciences centers and teaching hospitals thus, you will be expected to fully participate in the academic day organized by and for a group of neurologists and junior neurology staff affiliated to the center. There are rotational clinical presentations from all neurologists and it is open for consultants to discuss challenging and interesting clinical cases with other colleagues.

Direct trains to London King Cross run every 30mins from Wakefield and Leeds or you can get to London Euston from Huddersfield and Halifax
Trains from Leeds and Wakefield come hourly running to nearby cities Sheffield, Derby, Birmingham, Bristol and Plymouth) or up north (York, Durham, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen).
What You'll Need:
- MRCP or Equivalent
- GMC Registration with Lisence to Practice
- GMC Specialist Registration & License to Practice (or within six months of being admitted on the specialist register) *The Trust will consider applicants with relevant consultant level experience*
