Exciting opportunity for a Consultant Radiologist with special interest in Breast Imaging preferably with NHS experience to join this acute trust near to Norfolk with good CQC rating. The trust is a research active trust recruiting, on average, approximately 700 patients per year into studies. Participation in research is actively encouraged and supported and the trust is particularly interested in recruiting doctors with experience of participating in clinical trials. With extra funding in place additional imaging equipment should be operational from 2023.
The job plan will include sessions in general radiology to maintain and develop cross-sectional imaging skills required to support the post. There is a good working relationship between all specialties involved in the delivery of breast care, and the radiology department plays a key role in achieving cancer targets.
Breast screening and symptomatic mammography services are provided and a major refurbishment of the breast suite has recently been completed with installation of full field digital mammography equipment for both screening and symptomatic work. The cross sectional imaging department has 3 working areas in the Trust.
- MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
- FRCR or Equivalent
- NHS Experience would be desirable
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC and/or hold CCT in Radiology or have an agreed date
- Full GMC Registration
