The Trust is looking for hand's on, enthusiastic and forward-thinking doctors to join their mission to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to enhance the health and wellbeing of their patients. The team believe in a strong clinical shop floor presence and training, so we are looking hands on consultants who want to drive positive change for their service users.

The Trust & Department:

The organisation, which has only just been established, is already among the biggest trusts in the nation and offers the greatest medical care to a population of over a million people. Within the Trust, there are three hospitals, and they collaborate with four other institutions to offer the general public more services.

The department has around 100,000 services users per annum, 20% of which are seen by the onsite GP service. The team encourage a variety of job plans of different PAs to suit (all with 2.5 SPA) and the option to integrate your special interests into your role. Trainees and staff reported that this emergency department have some of the kindest and most supportive team members they've ever come across. 

The Location:

The Trust is situated in the second-most populated county in England, which has a wide range of attractions and a great deal of diversity. The open space and coast of Essex make for a terrific natural playground, with parkland, country paths, and rockpools to enjoy. Due to the excellent schools and great quality of life, its also a big draw for families. Recently, with the increase in transportation links, this city has become the most desirable relocation option for Londoners. Not only can you find an extensive number of attractions for you to enjoy on the weekends, but the county also offers estuaries, beaches, cliffs, animals, and water sports. There are many housing alternatives available for different budgets and lifestyles (rural, urban, or coastal), and you have the choice of renting or buying.

Transport Links:

Fast trains are available to travel to London (Liverpool Street & Fenchurch Street). For a direct access to the rest of the globe, there are three nearby airports. Additionally conveniently accessible are Holland-bound ferries, the Eurotunnel, and the Eurostar. Ferries to Holland and the Eurotunnel and Eurostar are also conveniently close.

The Successful Candidate Must Have:

  • FRCEM or equivalent
  • GMC registration with license to practise
  • Inclusion on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine or eligibility for inclusion (or within 6 months of attainment at the time of interview).
