Emergency Medicine Registrar (ST3)

Job Description

A&E Agency are looking for an ST3 A&E doctor to join a reputable (CQC Rating = Good) NHS Trust in the West Midlands. The NHS trust is among the largest teaching hospitals in England, treating more than 2 million people per annum across the four sites. The Trust have three Emergency medicine department and a minor injuries unit, seeing over 300,000 new attendees per year. 

They have high quality training programmes, research, audits and quality improvement projects running across the department including extensive nursing, clinical practitioner and medical programmes. The team pride themselves on having forward thinking teams with strong focus on patient safety, education and training. Their departments are award winning and received awards for Excellence in Urgent and Emergency Care in the 2018 BMJ and NHS Parliamentary Awards. They aim is to be recognised for their Excellence in Emergency Medicine education.

The Emergency Department consultant team are highly involved in undergraduate training, as well as postgraduate training for EM ACCS and HST, GPVTS and Foundation Year trainees. The consultants also support teaching and training of other healthcare professional such as Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP), Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) and nursing staff.

The Trust is based in the second largest city in England, with a ethnically mixed and religiously diverse population. The city offers comparable access to entertainment, schools and transportation (international airports) services at a more affordable cost than London. Moreover, the city provides busy urban and rural environments, giving you the best of both worlds along with easy access to London.  

What You'll Need:

- A Minimum of 1 - 2years NHS experience

- A GMC Registration

- MCEM/FRCEM Primary and or Intermediate examinations or equivalent
