One of the largest NHS trusts based in East London is looking for their new Head of Employee Wellbeing to take over from the existing due to retirement. The existing Head of Employee Wellbeing has made an impact and delivered high-quality results in terms of their occupational health service. The team are continuing their search for the perfect replacement who can demonstrate their experience in an occupational health function, working in an NHS trust and wellbeing experience desirable.

The service is a high performing and income-generating department which was reassessed for SEQOHS accreditation in November 2020 and was granted full accreditation for 5 years with no recommendations. The service includes a strong and growing portfolio of private contracts.

Would this role be suitable for a senior manager, director or lead an occupational health service?

Reporting only to the Director of People Services, the Head of Employee Wellbeing Service acts as the senior lead ensuring the smooth running of all employee wellbeing and occupational health services, to the trust and external private clients. You will support Trust-wide activity both in relation to employee wellbeing but also in support of the wider responsibility and objectives for the People Services Directorate. About you

  • Can demonstrate success in delivering change and performance
  • Experience running an occupational health function
  • Engaging teams in the strategic direction and delivery plans
  • Keen focus on team and service development
  • Experience with wellbeing services is desirable
  • Experience working in an acute trust is desirable
  • Experience in leading Employee Wellbeing Services or leading bids for private contracts are desirable.
