Respiratory Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, hardworking respiratory consultant for an exciting opportunity with a reputable hospital in West England. This position is for an immediate start and will be on going.

The first 4-6 weeks of the job will cover ward work and reviewing referrals, working 8.30-5pm Mon-Fri (and some Saturday mornings if possible for the locum consultant). A substantive consultant will be available through this time Mon-Fri to provide support and direct assistance if needed. Working hours would usually be 8.30-5pm on ward weeks and 9-5 on non-ward weeks Mon-Fri.

This hospital is the newest of their three sites. The main hospital was built under the private finance initiative (PFI) and opened in 2002. It provides specialist services for the whole of Worcestershire including stroke services and cardiac stenting. The state-of-the-art Worcestershire Oncology Centre opened in January 2015, providing radiotherapy services for cancer patients, the first time these services have been available in the county. The hospital has nine operating theatres including four laminar theatres. It has a level 2 neonatal intensive care units and a cardiac catheterisation laboratory.
