Senior House Officer (SHO) Emergency Medicine (UCC)

Job Description

A&E agency have an exciting opportunity for an FY2/ST1/ST2 Doctor to work in the UCC department in a Rochdale Infirmary.  

The role will be shift based days between 0800-2100.

You will be joining a hospital that treats a wide variety of both adult and paediatric patients with minor illness and injury which require urgent assessment. Patients attending the UCC are either self-presenting or brought in by ambulance, though these are the lower acuity 999 patients. The department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

The service provides assessment and treatment for people who have a minor illness or injury, or an urgent but less serious emergency that does not require a high level of care.  If patients have a less serious condition or illness they should consult with a pharmacist or their GP in the first instance or can call NHS 111 for advice.

If you would like to work via the A&E Agency, this is what you can expect:

-Access to training courses including BLS (basic life support)

-Expert guidance through appraisals and revalidation as required by the GMC (General Medical Council)

-Dedicated recruitment consultant with over 8 years’ experience of NHS and private medical recruitment with the agency
