Specialist Registrar, Acute Medicine

Are you a Specialist Registrar who specialises in Acute Medicine?

If so, we have a fantastic long-term opportunity for the right SPR.

This is a long-term placement running from 04/08/21-30/06/22. The shifts for this placement are 09:00-17:00 or 08:00-16:00, Mon-Fri with some on-calls between 09:00-21:30 or 21:00-09:30 as and when convenient.

You will be assisting with ward rounds, completing senior reviews, and supervising junior doctors and carrying out procedures.

You will lead the team and work with the junior doctor and ACP/trainee ACP’s to treat ambulatory patients from A&E/GP and discharge same day where possible. You will be required to carry out any procedures that may arise on the day.

Pilgrim general hospital was opened in 1976 to replace several small hospitals. It has a 24-hour major Accident and Emergency Department and all main specialties. The hospital has recently undergone extensive redevelopment including a new maternity unit and women's health facilities.

Pilgrim Hospital is a large hospital in the east of Lincolnshire on the A16, north of the town of Boston near the mini roundabout with the A52. It is situated virtually on the Greenwich Meridian and adjacent to Boston High School.
