About the Trust

This Trust employs over 6,000 staff who deliver compassionate care from their two main hospitals, community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. The A&E departments at two of its hospitals see around 3000 patients each week and provide expert assessment and treatment of a wide variety of illnesses and injuries.

The department is a 24-hour open access service to the public with dedicated, enthusiastic staff committed to high standards of patient care.

Job description

This is a Middle Grade Doctor at ST3 + level in Emergency Medicine. This role could be an excellent opportunity for an overseas candidate to consolidate their experience under a Medical Training Initiative programme in the UK.
Post holders will be given the same educational support and opportunities to attend teaching as their current Health Education Doctors in Training.

You will be responsible for the assessment and early management of patients who are acutely ill and injured as well as treating patients with less serious illnesses and injuries. You will also be required to manage patients in the Clinical Decision Unit, HRI, Observation Unit, CRH

Skills and experience required for this role

  • Ideally you must have full GMC registration with license to practice 
  • Candidates with MRCEM with IELTS/OET assessment booked will also be considered
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience at core training level or above
