We are delighted to provide a chance for enthusiastic and motivated general medicine junior doctors to join a forward-thinking and driven team in a department with about 150 attendees per day. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800,000 people. 

The trust is undergoing the remodeling of their Clinical Teams across; General and Acute Medicine, Elderly and Rehabilitation medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Trauma and Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Urology. As the Trust goes forward with the development of a new clinical staffing model, they are seeking a creative and driven doctor to join the at this exciting moment for specialist services.

Rotations:

Placements available in the following specialties (rotations will be 3 x 4 month placements) – Elderly, General Medicine, Acute Medicine. 12 month placement in one of the above specialties could be considered if the candidate has a specific interest, please indicate the specialty of interest in the initial call. 

Location:

The town is a vibrant seaside resort, surrounded by stunning scenery and glorious beaches, on the East Coast of Yorkshire, set in the beautiful countryside. This seaside town is excellent for families, with plenty of activities for all ages. Due to the area's popularity as a tourist destination, there are several indoor and outdoor entertainment venues as well as good outdoor athletic facilities. There are many locations right outside your home that offer a spot to walk or ride a bike away from the crowds. On the east coast, Yorkshire's shoreline likely offers the best surfing, windsurfing, yachting, dinghy sailing, and scenery. The town also offers good transport links to nearby cities (Manchester, Leeds, Hull, Middlesbrough etc.). 

What You'll Need:

  • Evidence of achievement of Foundation Competencies in the 3 ½ years preceding date of submission
  • 12 months medical experience after full GMC registration (or equivalent).
  • Current GMC Full Registration and Licence to Practise.
  • Current ALS certificate
  • 6 months UK experience
  • To Be able to start ASAP
