Calling all Registrars in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for NHS trust in East Midlands.
We are looking for motivated doctors who want to be part of an exciting transformation project, with several aspects of the service relocating from the City to the hospital campus.
Both hospital sites have a labour suite and we deliver around 10,000 babies per year. There is a Neonatal unit on both campuses, dedicated obstetric anaesthetic services, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working at either junior or senior registrar level depending on their level of experience and in all areas of obstetrics and gynaecology including general ANC, general gynaecology clinics, labour ward, assessment areas and theatres.
For the on call commitment it will 1 in 9 rota . There is a junior and senior registrar tier out of hours plus consultant cover.
You will be given greater exposure to consolidate and further develop skills in an area of special interest. For senior registrars there will be opportunities available in the areas of fetal medicine, maternal medicine, labour ward, advanced antenatal practice, oncology, colposcopy, vulval disease, urogynaecology & vaginal surgery, benign abdominal surgery, & medical education
- GMC Full Registration.
- MRCOG part 1 (ST3-5)/MRCOG (ST6-7).
- At least 5 years (ST6-7) or 3 years (ST3-5) experience in O&G.
- Candidate to have successfully completed ST2 or equivalent competencies (ST3-5)/ ST5 or equivalent competencies (ST6-7) in O&G.
- Commitment to clinical excellence.
- Shows clear commitment to a career in O&G.
Minimum 12 months experience working in Obs and Gynae in the UK.
