Why should you attend the AGM conference?
Acute and General Medicine is the leading UK conference for all doctors involved in emergency, acute and advanced internal medicine. With an interesting and comprehensive programme including seminars and workshops, doctors of all grades and medical specialities can get up to date on the latest guidance.
This year's conference has an expert speaker programme to deliver sessions to instil confidence in treating patients with complex conditions. Doctors are not confined to the seminar theatres, they are encouraged to share learning during networking breaks. One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s programme, is being able to combine lectures with hands-on training workshops. Some of the areas being covered this year include:
- ECG Interpretation
- Airway skills
- Ultrasound
- NIV
You can view the full seminar programme here
Why do doctors attend?
The last 18 months have been some of the toughest for the NHS and medical professionals in our lifetime. With an unprecedented demand on the service, complex and rapidly developing cases surrounding COVID-19 and appraisals postponed – there has never been a better time to take your clinical skills and knowledge to the next level.
Lessons from COVID 19
There will be essential sessions on COVID-19 and opportunities to share learning for emergency, acute, general medicine, and critical care. These sessions will help better prepare for another pandemic.
Essential CPD and Revalidation
Acute and General Medicine allows doctors to collect 12 CPD points in an affordable and time efficient manner. These are an essential requirement for revalidation.
Networking
A great opportunity to share ideas and socialise with doctors outside of your specialty and trust without the demand of a busy day working in the NHS.
Career Development
As well as improving clinical skills and knowledge, you can access brilliant career advice and great job opportunities by popping over to stand C45 to meet the A&E agency team.
When is the AGM conference?
This year’s conference is held on the 9th and 10th November at the Excel in London.
